After a tip off that an Osprey was seen at Scargill Reservoir last week, John Waite took a trip up there today. Unfortunately he didn’t find what he’d hoped for but did get a good view of this striking Redstart singing in the trees. Thanks go to John for the photo and Darren Shepherd for his tip off!

Run by the Friend's of Gallows Hill, the Gallows Hill Nature Area is situated on the banks of the Wharfe, in Otley.
In May 2014 the Ben Rhydding Gravels pits site was declared a Local Nature Reserve by the Lord Mayor of Bradford.

We discovered this American signal crayfish whilst working on restoring the beck. These were introduced into the wharfe over 20yrs ago and have spread everywhere.
